New York Yankees vs Oakland Athletics
Post Game Recap
Final Score: Yankees 2 Athletics 3
The New York Yankees for the second
straight year have been swept in Oakland after a 3-2, 18 inning loss
on Thursday afternoon/night. The loss puts the Yankees at (37-29) now
on the season, but they are now in third place in the AL East, as the
Orioles jumped them for second place.
On offense the Yankees got off to a
quick start against Jarrod Parker, as Robinson Cano hit a two-run
homerun in the first inning scoring Brett Gardner. For Cano it was
16th homerun of the season, and now also has 42 RBIs.
Parker however settled down very nicely after the homerun, as he
finished going eight innings only allowing the two first inning runs
